Responsibilities of the Lab Manager

Manage lab staff and operations

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise lab personnel
• Ensure efficient workflow and procedures

Lead quality control and quality assurance

• Implement and monitor quality control protocols

• Build relationships with vendors and external partners

Requirements for the Lab Manager role

H3: Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, microbiology or related field
• 8+ years experience in clinical lab management

Knowledge and skills

• Expertise in lab testing techniques and instrumentation
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with technical aptitude

Licenses and certifications

• Licensed or certified medical lab technologist
